Colourful Basement Windows #2: Red / Click for Previous
Second of two colourful basement level windows I've run across in my recent travels around the city. I shot this on Saturday on the way back from getting some groceries and picking up some cat food -- it's the lower window of what used to be a lesbian bar called "Pope Joan" on Parliament Street. It's now called "Foxy's and Coyotes", and I can't say for sure if it's still a strictly lesbian hangout or a gay sports bar. Maybe it's both. House music and jockstraps, interesting combo.

On a side note, over the weekend Dave turned me on to an awesome new Mexican photoblog called momentánea. Great use of striking angles and slick composition. While it's not in english, the shots speak for themselves. And that's one of the beauties of photoblogging I suppose -- its ability to transcend language barriers. Make sure to check it out.

Manual Exposure at F3.5 - 1/100, ISO 100. Spot metering, 7.85mm Focal Length.
