I spotted this Alarms Unlimited logo on a garage near Adelaide, while Rannie and I were killing some time waiting for Jay to come out of an appointment.
I always get a kick out of finding these logos -- not because I have any particular interest in alarm systems or good security, but because the logo is one of my Dad's. Before he got in to teaching, he was a commercial artist in the 60's and 70's. Some of you may also remember the anti-pollution newspaper ads from the 70's with the photo of the baby wearing the gas mask, that was his. I've still got one of the original layouts hanging on my wall.
Surprisingly enough, like this alarms unlimited logo (from the mid 60's) and Roadrunner Trucking
(also mid 60's), a few of his old designs are still in use today.
Rest in peace, dad. Eric G. Reiner 1937-1998.
