Just got back from Peterborough. Had a great weekend with my mum. Seeing the difference in her is just amazing. A first:
Carla and I took her out to dinner today to a Chinese buffet just outside of town. It was her first time out in the last four months (beyond going from hospital to respite bed of course). The food really wasn't all that great, but it was one of the most enjoyable meals I've had in a long time. Just seeing my mum able to get around (albeit with our help) and enjoy a meal, it was almost like things were back to normal again. It really made my day.
