A cross lies fallen and forgotten in St. James Cemetary.
So yesterday I threw my trusty 20 year old 50mm/1.7 on my new
Minolta Maxxum 7D to take it for a test drive around the neigbourhood. I headed on over to the St. James Cemetary and took a bunch of shots of some of the older, less maintained graves. This was near the end of the day, so I was shooting wide-open (F1.7) for the most part.
As I was about to leave the cemetary I realized I'd had the camera set to ISO 1600 the whole time! So about 3/4 of the shots I took were on ISO 1600, and this was one of them. I gotta say, I've been really impressed with the lack of noise at such high ISO settings. The colours just pop on this baby, and the anti-shake has breathed new life in to my 1985 lenses. This camera totally rocks.
Oh and it's freakin' snowing out right now, so that cross is probably covered underneath a layer of pure white at this point...
F1.7, 1/2000, 50mm, ISO 1600!!
